Frequently Asked Questions:

1) What if the weather is bad or forecasted to be bad during our session? If it is raining or storming during our session, I will reschedule it to the next available weekend day at the same time. If you are unable to make that new date, a full refund will be given, or you can apply your payment to a family session and receive a 20% discount on the session fee.

2) What if I need to cancel? If you give at least 3 days notice, I will let you apply the payment to a future family photo session. Cancelling with less than 24 hours notice will result in forfeiting payment.

3) What if I arrive late? Any Client that is late arriving to the session will have the remaining amount of time allotted for the session. It is very important to arrive early and be ready on time!

4) How will I see my photos? After your photos have been edited, I will upload them to an online gallery for you to review. You will be given a code that will allow you to choose and download your 5 full resolution digital images. You can also share the gallery with family and friends.

5) About how many images will I have to choose from? For a 10 minute session, expect about 15 to 20 images to choose from in your online gallery. You will be able to purchase additional images from the gallery - $20 for 1 digital image, $50 for 3 digital images, or $100 for all digital images in the gallery.

6) Can I order prints or Holiday cards with my images? You can order prints directly from your gallery. Click here to view Christmas card designs. Cards cost between $2 to $2.50 each, minimum order of 25 cards. Can be ordered pre-printed with recipient and return addresses.

7) What should my family wear? Fall is the perfect time to capture beautiful family moments against the backdrop of vibrant autumn colors. To ensure your family looks coordinated and stylish in your fall family mini session, consider incorporating rich earth tones such as burgundy, mustard yellow, and deep forest green. Layering is key for both comfort and visual appeal - think cozy sweaters, cardigans, and scarves paired with jeans or corduroys for a casual yet polished look. Don't forget to embrace the textures of fall with knit hats, leather boots, or suede jackets. Lastly, coordinating outfits without being too matchy-matchy can create a cohesive and visually appealing aesthetic. By carefully selecting outfits that reflect the warmth and beauty of the season, your fall family mini session will be filled with timeless memories and exceptional photographs.

8) Why are your mini session prices lower than other photographers in the area? I’ll be transparent here, photography is not my primary source of income. Photographers that are full time need to have higher session fees to cover their business cost and pay themselves a living wage. I only need to charge enough to cover the cost of running my business and have enough leftover to invest in professional equipment and training, so my business can grow.

9) How is a mini session different from a regular session? Mini sessions are a way for me to give families with children a low risk way of getting professional quality images for sharing online, wall art, and holiday cards. I have two kids, and know how things don’t always go according to plan. Instead of being out $300 for an hour long session because your kids won’t cooperate for photos, your only out $125 and a few minutes of your time. Regular sessions are a much bigger commitment for a family, with alot more interaction with me before and after the session. You have more flexibility and can choose the location, date, and time. All regular sessions include a 30 minute zoom consult where we discuss your ideas for your photo session, and the services that I provide before, during, and after your session. Leading up to the session we will go over your wardrobe for the session. After your photos are ready you can opt to have an in-person reveal/ordering session with 8x10 prints as proofs. With the mini session you get a limited amount of my time, no choice for the location, and no in person reveal/ordering session.
